Elise DeGarmo

I graduated in May 2018 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University. Since graduation I have studied at the Illustration Academy in Kansas City, Missouri, and went on to be an artist-in-residence at Trestle Gallery in New York City, New York for six months and a resident artist at Sanctuary Slimane in Marrakesh, Morocco for nine months. I have a passion for illustrating, animating, visual storytelling, taking/editing photos and thinking creatively. I am proficient in Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite. My work has been recognized by Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, and Scholastic. My client list includes The Spruce, The Balance, Tripsavvy, ThoughtCo, Lifewire, Verywell, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, The Nature Conservancy, The Commonwealth Times, Holy Trinity, Samenspende, EJF Real Estate, Sanctuary Slimane, Plastic Nancy, and Virginia and California Public Libraries.
